Brandon Blagg

I grew up in Dublin TX and graduated from Baylor University in 2000 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.  After working in Dallas for several years, I grew tired of the hustle and bustle of the city life and returned to Waco for grad school (M.A. Communication Studies 2008).  My favorite activities include backpacking and camping with my wife Kristi, son Fischer and dog Jake.  I also like to load up our bikes and fishing poles and camp and travel in our old Airstream.  When I am on a bike I split time between road and mountain biking (especially around Cameron Park) and like to dream of being fit and fast one day.  My favorite current products are my Dansko clogs, Patagonia R1 hoody and my Osprey Talon 44.  If I could do more of anything it would be skiing.

I’m little, but I can be found hanging around the shop in the afternoon a few days every week.  I took my first trip to Colorado when I was about four months old and have been to the mountains about four different times and like it more each time I go.  My dad said he is going to take me skiing pretty soon, and I’m excited.  My favorite things are keys, milk and my little car that my dad pushes me on.  Look for me to be working the register when I get older. 

I grew up in Waco and after a brief stint as an Aggie, I matured and moved home to attend Baylor.  My favorite hobbies are skiing, climbing and mountain biking.  My favorite recent purchase is my Patagonia R2 jacket and my Black Diamond haul bag.  Upon graduation I hope to become a ski instructor somewhere in the winter and a climbing guide in the summer.  If you have climbing questions I’ll do my best to answer them. 

I grew up in Houston and it only took one backpacking trip to the Smoky Mountains to hook me for life.  Most recently I hiked the south rim trail of the Grand Canyon (Royal Arch Route) and I’m currently gearing up for a ski trip.  A few of my favorite articles of gear are my Osprey Aether 70 backpack, my Asolo boots and my Leki Carbon trekking poles.  I am also the resident expert on all things Patagonia. 

I started working at an outdoor shop back home in Arkansas when I was 16 and started working at the Bear Mountain about a year ago.  I like to hike, camp, kayak and ride my bicycle a bit.  As the resident fashion expert I help pick out a lot of our women’s clothing and footwear.  Most recently I purchased a new Patagonia R1 fleece, Salomon XA pro-3D Ultra and Patagonia Baggy shorts.

I grew up in Ft. Collins, CO before coming to Baylor.  After graduation I started working at The Bear Mountain.  My areas of expertise include, snowboarding and hiking.  I am also learning how to fish.  Although I grew up in Colorado, I like Texans. 

I grew up in Austin, TX before coming to Baylor.  After two degrees, i'm still here in good ole Waco. I am one of the original staff of the store and love working here. My areas of expertise include hiking, backpacking, climbing, trail running and five-fingers.  

I grew up in Dallas, TX but have always had a deep love for the mountains and the great outdoors. I have more degrees than i can count and after graduation I started working at The Bear Mountain as a cashier. Aside from being a great american BA, I have summited many major mountains in the Pacific Northwest as well as Wyoming. My areas of expertise include, skiing, backpacking, anything North Face and mountaineering.
